Expanded Learning Opportunities Ppt. - Feb3.2022.pdf
Summary: The California Legislature provided funding in the Assembly Bill 86 COVID-19 relief package, which included one-time funding for Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELO) Grants to school districts to address COVID-19 challenges and learning loss. Governor Newsom signed AB 86 on March 5, 2021. As part of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Grant Expenditure Plan that was approved by the CSD Governing Board on May 21, 2021, the district will be offering a variety of expanded learning opportunities during the summer 2022 break to our students and families. An overview of the summer school offerings will be provided to the Board by the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.

In addition, The assistant Superintendent of Educational Services will provide an update on The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P), which provides additional funding for afterschool and summer enrichment programs for transitional kindergarten through sixth grade. The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program was authorized by Item 6100-110-0001 of the 2021–22 Budget Act (Senate Bill 129, Chapter 69, Statutes of 2021), and Assembly Bill (AB) 130, Chapter 44, Statutes of 2021, as amended by AB 167, Chapter 252, Statutes of 2021.
