Summary:

One of the roles of the Governing Board is to ensure District Board policies are reviewed, added, removed and kept up to date in order to keep the District legally compliant.
Since May 2024, the District staff, the Board Policy Committee, and the California School Board Association have been working to update all Board Policies, Regulations, and Bylaws. The attached Students - 5000 Series list contains new or amended policies and regulations.
The current following policies and regulations will be obsolete once approved due to changes in the laws: Regulation 5030; Policy 5112.2; Polices & Regulations 5112.6, 5114; Polices 5118, 5120; Policy & Regulation 35121.1; Policies 5124, 5124.1, 5130.2; Regulation 5131.8; Policies & Regulations 5132.1, 5140, 5141.34; and Regulation 5145.11.
