Legal Services are a part of every school district's budget and now California School Boards Association (CSBA) offers cost-effective legal advice and legal services in a subscription-based program.
There are basically two components to the Legal Services Program: (1) access to CSBA attorneys who can provide low-cost legal services on all matters related to public education, and (2) unlimited access to their online Resource Library. e.g. MOUs, salary schedules, webcasts, etc... The resources have been collected from various school districts across the state.
The District wishes to enter into an agreement with the California School Boards Association to have access to their online resource library and use their Legal Services attorneys when necessary.
The annual subscription will be approximately $1,158 (10% of CSBA's annual membership dues) and attorney fees rage from $100 to $200 per hour.
