Summary:
On April 4, 2019, the Governing Board of Trustees adopted Resolution 18-19-06 a Pathway to Biliteracy Recognitions Program. The program recognizes elementary and middle school students who have demonstrated and met defined benchmarks toward proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English.

This award honors Tsugutaka Meyer's engagement in the pursuit of language skills in two languages, affirm positive attitudes towards multilingualism, and validates the use of multiple languages.
